What you are actually paying for
Not the software. The software is a few thousand lines and somebody could write it again. What takes the time is the panel: every marker position and allele pair verified against Ensembl GRCh37, every direction of effect checked against protein consequences or population frequency rather than against memory, every claim carrying a citation, and every marker that cannot be oriented reliably thrown out instead of guessed.
Two of those checks caught real errors before launch. The reference genome happens to carry the Factor V Leiden allele and the ACTN3 null allele, so a panel built on the usual assumption would have reported both backwards. That is the class of mistake this work exists to prevent, and it is why the panel is the product.
Alongside it sit the reference phylogenies for both ancestral lines and a coverage audit built from real ClinVar counts across 25 genes. When you buy a key, the server sends that data to your browser. Your file never travels in the other direction, before or after payment.
Refunds
If the report does not work on your file, or it is not what you expected, write to us within 30 days and we will refund it. We will not ask you to send us anything from your file. See refunds.
